Blocking %!@ at conversation stage

Is it possible to block recipients of the form:
aaa@bbb@ccc
aaa!bbb@ccc
aaa%bbb@ccc
during the SMTP conversation?

Not all of the domains that we accept can be verified with LDAP, so these messages come in and generally bounce at a later stage.
Ideally I'd like to define these in the RAT, but I don't think it is that flexible.
Message/Content filters occur too late in the pipeline to reject the email.
Any ideas?

Bad Characters in username

Yes, you can do this easily. When you are editing a listener, there is an additional option for SMTP Address Parsing Options.

There is a field labled "Reject these Characters in Usernames." Just add any character that you don't want and they will be rejected if they show up in a RCPT TO command.

Perfect, that's exactly what I wanted. Thanks.
