Cisco Systems is pleased to announce a major upgrade of the Cisco Registered Envelope Service (CRES) scheduled for Saturday, September 11th, 2010 from 18:00 – 00:00 PST (Sunday, September 12th 02:00:00 – 08:00:00 UTC).
During the maintenance window it will not be possible to open PXE encrypted messages. CRES admins will not be able to log into the administration interface and senders of PXE encrypted messages may receive bounce messages. All services will be restored once the upgrade is concluded. Any bounced messages can be resent at that time.
This upgrade contains a variety of features and fixes:
New Feature: Simplified Password reset Process
New Cisco Registered Envelope recipients may not be required to answer password challenge questions for the password reset process, if the recipient browser has previously stored cookies for CRES.
New Feature: No Authentication Encryption Envelope Mobile Device Support
Cisco Registered Envelope recipients opening No Authentication Envelopes via Mobile Devices are not asked to enter a password while opening a No Authentication Envelope. The No Authentication Envelope feature was newly incorporated in AsyncOS 7.1.1-012 for Email which is generally available for all customers.
New Feature: Improved CRES Robustness
Cisco Registered Envelope administrators will have faster admin interface response for user search and Key management tasks.
Fixed: Multi-Branding Secure Reply uses default configuration
Fixed: Unable to open Secure Envelope natively on iPhone
Fixed: Unable to open No Authentication Envelope without Javascript
Fixed: Help Icon visibility changes for ease of access help link

Will this change affect the IP addresses of the RES servers? We use static IPs to the URL's through our firewall. Please respond to ken.stevens@carmax.com

We are just piloting CRES so we don't have must of previous experience but currently we have issues to open CRES messages by using Blackberry standard browser, same link with the Opera-browser on Blackberry works fine.
The following error is shown when trying to open reply message from mobile@res.cisco.com with BB standard browser:
The selected server returned an error when attempting to fulfill your request
