logging delivery interface

Hello,

I need a hint how to log the interface that is used for delivery of an outgoing mail. I need a way to check which interfaces are used. They have been set via altsrchost.

Thanks

Henrik

Re: logging delivery interface

Hello Henrik,

The interface that a message is delivered on is logged by default in this log entry:

Wed Jul 11 21:49:08 2007 Info: New SMTP DCID 360365 interface 69.42.74.38 address 205.234.25.10 port 25

You could also choose to insert a new header via the same filter that does your altsrchost, and then use the logconfig->logheaders functionality to record that header in one of the delivery entries such as:
Wed Jul 11 21:53:06 2007 Info: Message done DCID 360368 MID 2420085 to RID [0] [('from', 'wietse@porcupine.org (Wietse Venema)'), ('x-deliveryinterface', 'MyInterface'')]

Re: logging delivery interface

Is Wietse Venema (creator Postfix) also using Ironport? I can't imagine ......
