Message Filters

I am at a crossroads. I am using LDAPAccept and need to allow an email account that no longer exists redirect to a new email address for the parent company.

Example:

jane@domaina.com needs all email redirected to jane.doh@alternatedomain.com. Domaina.com is accepting email utilizing LDAP which is a process that occurs before message filters are invoked.

Any assistance would be great!

Instead of thinking of creating some rules to accept and forward it to another e-mail address, isn't it more easy to create that particular email address in your LDAP (so it is now accepted) then forward it using attribut: mailForwardingAddress: to another e-mail address?

Re: Message Filters

Use aliasconfig to do the rewrite first then the ldapaccept will work. Alias tables come before ldap acceptance. Also, the rewritten address would be available for mail policies and message filters.
