If I look at the statistics for "Internal Users" and on the right side the "Top Users by Clean Outgoing Messages", there is an entry "No User Information".
What is the reason for the missing information?
Every of our "authorized" user has a address like bill.gates@microsoft.com. Why should there be a sender without known information - even if they would be computer generated?

It because the From address was blank.
usually it was a non delivery reply that the mail server sent due no valid user mailbox.
you should active your LDAP accept to verify the valid users email for your domain.
and disable the NDR (Non Delivery Reply) in the mail server.

You are right!
An internal (technical) mail-program sent a logfile to a no-more existing technical mailbox.
The mailserver makes a LDAP-check and send a NDR mail back to the never-existing (technical) sender.
The mailserver makes again a LDAP-check and send a NDR to our Ironport (maybe our mailserver assumes, that the never-existing technical sender could be found outside of the company-domain...)
We have changed the mail-adress of the new recipient of the logfiles and everything works ok.
