Sending email from outside and SMTP Authentication

Hello all,

I was told earlier that company users can send emails from outside using either VPN or SMTP authentication, is there a third way to do this? if yes, please mention it...

I also require some information on how to configure SMTP authentication...

I believe you're reffering to the ESA C-Series appliance, but you've posted in the WSA forum.
