Trouble with MS Office Attachments

Good Morning,

We recently upgraded to AsyncOS 7.5.1-028 on our C370 system.  Since that time, we have had problems with MS Office attachments being sent to a Quarantine we have setup for "Compress" files.

Previous, we had this rule:

          <filter_name>Allow_zip-Block_compressed</filter_name>

          <filter_comment>Allow .zip files into mail stream and quarantine other compressed files.  .zip files will be scanned by other rules</filter_comment>

          <is_AND>1</is_AND>

          <rule>

            <rule_type>Attachment_Filetype_Rule</rule_type>

            <rule_data>Compressed</rule_data>

            <rule_extra1>==</rule_extra1>

          </rule>

          <rule>

            <rule_type>Attachment_Filename_Rule</rule_type>

            <rule_data>(?i)\.(zip|wmz|emz|xps|odt|ods|thmx)$</rule_data>

            <rule_extra1>!=</rule_extra1>

          </rule>

          <action>

            <action_type>Quarantine_Action</action_type>

            <action_data>Executables</action_data>

          </action>

          <action>

            <action_type>Notify_Action</action_type>

            <action_data>$EnvelopeSender</action_data>

            <action_extra1>***** Your E-mail to EMC Insurance Companies is not allowed *****</action_extra1>

            <action_extra2>email@domain.com</action_extra2>

            <action_extra3>Non-zip_Files_Notification</action_extra3>

          </action>

          <action>

            <action_type>Notify_Action</action_type>

            <action_data>email1@domain.com, email2@domain.com, email3@domain.com</action_data>

            <action_extra1>Prohibited Compressed Attachment</action_extra1>

            <action_extra2>admin@emcins.com</action_extra2>

            <action_extra3>Non-zip_Files_Notification-Admins</action_extra3>

          </action>

        </content_filter>

This worked very well and we didn't have any problems with MS Office atttachments.

After the upgrade, we started Quarantining MS Office 2007/2010 attachment because they were being flagged as compressed.  Did something change with the True Type filters of MS Office attachments or am I going to have to modify the above rule to add MS Office attachment to allowed compressed extensions.

Thanks in advance.

Doug
