You don't really upgrade - you un-install 1.3 and install 1.4

Expect data loss :(

so if I have MFC V1.3, how do I get MFC V1.4?

We had to ask customercare - it was provided promptly on request!

that was some months ago though

MFC 1.4 is not required for most MFC customers

MFC 1.4 is only useful for customers who are experiencing capacity issues with 1.3.

There are no new features or reports. MFC 1.4 takes advantage of some changes to the underlying MFC infrastructure components to scale to a greater number of messages per day. If you are not having capacity issues, upgrading to MFC 1.4 provides no value.

An advantage is that you can generate instant reports and you can save old reports on MFC
