Do the MDS 9000 switches support Multi Protocol?

Re: ASK THE EXPERT- STORAGE NETWORKING SOLUTIONS

The MDS 9000 fmaily of switches does support multi protocols. Today it supports Fibre Channel, iSCSI and Fibre Channel over IP.

The crossbar based architecture allows the MDS 9000 to be protocol independent allowing the platform to scale in the future as other storage protocols are adopted by customers.

Re: ASK THE EXPERT- STORAGE NETWORKING SOLUTIONS

Does Cisco have plans to have simpler network storage solution like use Cisco Storage Array and share disks not by iSCSI but NFS or SAMBA or something similar?
