ASA 5505 with llinksys

hi,

I have cisco ASA 5505 at my end n I am planning to get a linksys( entry level ipsec support router). Is it possible to create a site to site ipsec tunnel between both cisco asa n linksys router ? pls. suggest me any entry level linksys router that can be used for this purpose.

Yes you can.

Get a Linksys BEFSR41 VPN Router.

For configuration on ASA ,

For configuration on the Linksys router

The options on the VPN page may be a bit different depending on the firmware.

Make sure you have the same pre-shared key , Encryption, Authentication settings on both sides.

Also, on the Linksys box,

Under Remote Secure Group > select Subnet and then provide the LAN IP subnet that is behind the ASA.

Under Remote Security Gateway > select IP address and provide Public IP of the ASA box.

PFS > keep it disabled.
