ASA 5510 - errors in startup config, how to select specific line numbers

Hi,

Should be a simple one this, but damned if I can work it out!

I've TFTP'd a config from a PIX and modified it for use with an ASA 5510. On startup I get:

WARNING: conflicting statics in startup configuration

*** Output from config line 1021, "static (extranet,outside..."

How do I show the config with line numbers or zoom into this error to fix. Is there a way to do this like there is with "sh access-list" cmd?

thanks in advance

Hi Andy,

There is no command to show the configuration with line numbers. However as the warning message is relevant to static nat, you can run the command 'show run static" to view just the static nat configurations and then modify the required lines.

Thanks,

Narayana

As Narayana said, the warning message is a result of your your static NAT config.  Check for overlapping mapped or real IP addresses in the output of 'show run static'.

Keep in mind that this doesn't necessarily reflect an error in the configuration.  Policy NAT configurations with overlapping mapped IPs can cause this warning but is a valid configuration.
