Hello,

we just bought brand new Cisco ASA 5510.

We are using it in transparent mode, only for firewalling.

But we have problems... This device reboots itself several times in day.

ASA Version: 8.2(1)

Actually throughput is around 5 Mb/s and connection number is around 200. Can someone helps me please?

I tryed to switch of logging but it not helps

I configured device only from ASDM.

Dave

David,  It sounds like the firewall is crashing. Check if tree is a crash by running the command 'show crash'. If one is present, go ahead and open a ase so a bug can be identified and a code fix suggested.   - Magnus

Hi,

i tryed to switch off IPS and now it works ok. Without bebooting.

Where can be a problem?

Hi David,

It may, however, If you want to find the root cause of the issue, a tac case should be open so a bug can be found/addressed and that you get the version that corrects the problem.

Cheers.
