ASA 5512-X Warning: partition table exists on the storage device

Is this normal to see after a boot of the 5512-X ? It is the very last message  I am seeing on the console following boot of a brand new unit.

Warning: partition table exists on the storage device (sn: XXXXXXXXXX)
but may be lost or meaningless after creating raid array.

Robert,

This seems to be a cosmetic issue. Try to initialize the CX using this guide:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/security/asa/quick_start/cx/cx_qsg.html#wp51233

After doing this the issue should go away.

Hi Robert,

Did you moved the SSD of one ASA to another? If this was the case; remember that this procedure is not supported.

This a brand new ASA 5512-x , took it out of the box and powered it on. This message was dispalyed on console at the end of boot process.

Looke to me like this is normal behavior and simply "cosmetic" as stated above. SSD is warning user that the  disk is already formatted, in this case the  software CX module was present on the drive.

Is there another link to reset the device:

I just get access denied. Same issue with an ASA 5555-x
