I am planning on deploying 2 ASA5520s in our network. I would like to run them in an Active/Active setup. For the "load balancing" to occur, I need a device on each side (inside and outside) of the firewalls. Does that device have to be a router? The 2821 was my first suggestion for this. But I also read a little bit about the 3750 switch doing load balancing. Would that be a possibility for this scenario? I don't think I understand Etherchannel enough to answer this myself.
Please help me determine the devices on each side of my firewalls, thank you!
