ASA config standardization commands

Hi,

In order to standardized/secure the ASA configurations, I am going to deploy the attached commands to several ASA from version 8.0 to 8.4. Although I have tested them and they work ok, but as precaution please advice that these commands will not delete ssh/ telnet/ http from ACL/NAT etc.

Also please advise that these commands will also work in PIX 6.3.

You response will give confidence before deployment and also help many others.

Thanks

The clear configure http and clear configure ssh will not remove any of the NAT or ACL statements.

I have not worked much on PIX, but I believe that the commands will also work with it.  The only exception is the enabling of logging which I believe is done using logging on command.

Other than that it is very common for these commands to be configured on all ASAs.
