ASA editions

I was searching for the stable version of ASA on cisco site. I have found that three versions are suggested by cisco, in all these ED is mentioned. I have searched a lot on internet i haven't found any suitable answer related to ED. I found only one link in that one guy was asking is ED mean for Early Development means beta version.

Can anyone tell me what does ED means in 9.0.3 ED in ASA?
Is ED stable for our ASA?

Hi Mukesh, ED - Early

Hi Mukesh,

ED - Early Deployment.

ED in general, which is released with new feature or support and it would have fixed the earlier bugs or bugs in the earlier versions....

If the ED version encounters bugs or defects, then it will be taken care  by the interim release....

ED is initial version and interim release is bug fixing versions .....
