Hi,

Has anyone of you guys configured Lan & stateful failover interface on a single physical interface with two subinterfaces dedicated for each?

I am configuring 5520's in an Active/Standby mode and falling short on the physical interfaces...

Pls advise or refer any cisco documentation regarding the same.

Regards

what do you mean "falling short on the physical interfaces"?

Just make sure you've used standby IP's on any interface with a regular IP.

You dont need to make any sub-interfaces. Just use the same 'physical' interface for both failover and stateful links. It works as long as your state traffic does not overwhelm the bandwidth of the interface.
