ASA URL filtering and Active Directory

I would like to know if the ASA

supprts the ability to group users either based on AD or whatever other means, and allow\disallow access to specific websites for a given group.  I am aware that it can integrate with Websense but is there an alternative with a built in function on the ASA itself?

Re: ASA URL filtering and Active Directory

Hi,

I don't think AD is integrated with websnese on ASA. However, the AD integration with CSC module should work for you.

Re: ASA URL filtering and Active Directory

The ASA5510, 5520 and 5540 have module that performs URL filtering and is called CSC-SSM. Its latest version can integrate with AD usernames and group them together and enforce different Filtering and blocking rules depending on the group someone belongs.

I hope it helps.
