ASA WCCP Route-map Query

Hi Experts,

Just curious why Cisco's ASA doesn't support PBRs(route-maps) for next hop manipulation?  Also, why is its WCCP implementation is so limited that it can only redirect wccp traffic on the ingress where the source and wccp device is on the same interface?

A lot of companies have opted for Netscreen because of this since you can redirect packets via its source/destination.

These questions are out of our scope of support here. This is how the developers have configure the ASA and I am pretty sure they are working on it to have it supported in the future.
