Hi there,

CSC SSM module is specifically for scanning four kinds of traffic http, ftp, smtp and pop3. The CSC SSM module updates itself with Trend micro updates to keep in track with the lates viruses, spyware, along with all these features the CSC SSM module can do functions like URL filtering, blocking.

Though the CSC SSM module only scans the network traffic coming in and going out of it. There is no gurantee for it to stop viruses from coming from sources like your floppy drives or USB devices. Ofcourse you can weigh the pros and cons of this and decide.

To wrap up i would say remember CSC _ SSM scans only scans network traffic and not things that might attack your host from sources like usb or floppy. You could just go for CSC if you feel the only way your going to get attacked is through the internet.
