ASA with VPN as backup

Hi All,

we have two ASA 5510 connected through MPLS network, and there is other route with T1 to the internet. I'd like to configure VPN tunnel as backup. If MPLS get down, I want ASAs initiate VPN connection with each other and create a tunnel. If you show me a document and shows this configuration, I'll be very appreciated. Both ASA have one outside interface though with default route to the MPLS network.

Thanks

Alex

Re: ASA with VPN as backup

I'm not sure of the config yet, but I am about to start the same basic config.

Connections:

main campus has a ds3 to our remote hospital

main campus has a ds3 to another offsite facility

remote hospital and offsite facility have a 100mb fiber connection to each other

When the ds3's to our main campus go down we plan on routing all traffic over the 20mb dsl vpn link over our ASA5520 to our ASA5540.
