ASA5500 Interface's

Hi,

We have purchased some ASA5520's on the basis that they have 5 interfaces , it turns out that this is not exactly true !!

They have 1 mgmt and 4 usable interfaces, can anybody confirm that the mgmt interface cannot be used for anything else please ?

Hi Scott,

the ASA mgmt interface can be used for data also. by default it's only used for mgmt but u can configure it to allow data, under the interface management 0 type "no management only" command. hence the interface will allow data traffic.
