I've got a site running on an ASA5505 with a single internet connection and a single VPN tunnel back to the head office ASA5510.
This site is trying to improve their available bandwidth as well as network stability. Is it possible to setup this ASA5505 to do VPN load balancing to this head end ASA5510, or is internet connection failover the only option? THanks.
I don't think its worth because when there are 2 different paths, packets come out of order. If there is not enough buffer to cache those till it can be re-essembled, it would drop and end up being retransmission. At that point you will be in bad shape than having a single path.
