Dear All,
I have a ASA5508 running in 8.3(2) and without enable NAT. If I do a static network address translation for a inside address. any Implict rule in xlate?
In another words, what is the forwarding rule ASA choose while there is routing exist and NAT? Do I need to setup bypassing NAT? Thanks!

Presently, asa is running in routing environment. I want to translate a ip address within the subnet to a outside address. Will it affect the routing table?
In pre 8.3, I know we need to do bypassing NAT. I don't know how to do it in 8.3.2.

Hi,
so firewall is in routed mode and with default no nat-control and you want to do a static NAT config from inside to outside?
Then just do it and configure an ACL permitting this traffic( you'll have to use the non natted ip address) and apply it inbound on the outside interface.
Regards.
Alain
