ASA5520-CSC10-K9 per user iicense

Hi All,

Cisco ASA5520-CSC10-K9 bundle has been came with default 50 Users license, but customer wants 500 users license.

But as per cisco documentaion  this license is for total users not for concurrent users.

My question is as

1) What is this total no. of users?

2) Is it based on IP address or user name?

License is based on xlate (NAT) connection through your firewall. That is based on IP address

.

50 Users license means, maximum is 50 connections through the firewall based on IP address.

Thanks for prompt reply.

But what happen when all traffic which is passing through ASA is originated from proxy server IP ?

Then it is based on pat entry or what ?

When you issue "sh csc node-count" it shows the total count (ip address) in the last 24 hours. In your case it may just show 1.

Now, the module has limitation as to how many concurrent http sessions it can have at any given point depending on the model and the code.
