ASDM 5.24 Stops Opening after loading 87%

Anyone seen anything like this, where a 5510 running 7.2.4 code and being accessed via a web browser, stops initializing the main window at 87%?

We can access the box via telnet and the CPU is running at 5%. The other error message is a warning the our OS is not supported by ASDM and we may encounter problems running the application. I guess this is one of those aforementioned problems. ;-)

Yes Java upgrades can "break" ASDM since it is a Java applet. I've done that several times myself and have since learned the hard way to keep my Java on my main workstation at the latest 1.6 patch and not do the weekly upgrades to Java they seem to push out these days. That keeps it at least somewhat compatible with the occassional older customer ASDM installation I sometimes run across.

Your issue is further compounded by the fact that your ASA and ASDM software is several major releases behind the current level. ASDM 5.2(4) is unfortunately the latest you can run with your old ASA 7.2(4) (released in 2008). If you could by any chance upgrade the ASA to at least 8.0 you can run the latest ASDM - 7.1(1)

Yeah, looks like a problem with the versions,

What is the  ASDM version you are running

Sorry, about leaving that information out. It is ASDM 5.2.4.

Since this has been working for a year with software installed at the factory we are leaning towards a Java issue. Though I am all ears as to suggestions. Thanks.
