ASDM 6.0 Login Box keeps Popping Up

We have Cisco ASA 5520 running version 8.0.3

ASDM was working fine, but something changed, I don't know what, and it keeps throwing up a login box. I can login locally and via ssh no issues. however asdm is not accepting my credentials...

any clues  :-/

Please check the output of "show run aaa", and see if the following is configured:

aaa authentication http console

and check what authentication server it is using, whether it's LOCAL or an external server.
