ASDM not loading

Hi.

We have a cluster of two Cisco ASA 5520 in our environment. Suddenly ASDM has stopped working. When it is launching, I get the following error in the Java Console:

Code:

"DM Application Logging Started at Mon Aug 04 10:44:03 CEST 2008

---------------------------------------------

Local DM Launcher Version = 1.5.24

Local DM Launcher Version Display = 1.5(24)

OK button clicked

Trying for ASDM Version file; url = https://192.168.107.1:444/admin/

Server DM Version = 6.0(2)

Server DM Launcher Version = 1.5.22, size = 318464 bytes

DM Launcher version checking is successful.

invoking SGZ Loader..

I have tried reloading the ASDM image without success. I have not yet restarted the firewall, since I don't want to cause any interruption to service if it is not necessary, and I can use the CLI if I have to Smile

It does not seem to be client related, because I get the same error on several computers, with different Java versions. I can also successfully connect to my ASA 5505 (running ASA 8.03 and ASDM 6.03).

Does anyone have an idea about what might be causing this problem?

This issue is caused due to Device uptime. I'm assuming your device is up for "1 year 16 days". A reload of ASA device would fix the issue.

Hope that helps.

Vibhor.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. The numbers corresponds to the current uptime. I guess we will have to reload them then.

Nice feature :)

Hi everybody!

So, we have still the same problem.

But our uptime is only 54 days.

It couldn`t be a soultuon to restart the PIX/ASA.

Or is it?

Please let me know!
