Dear All,

We use ASDM 6.2 to manage our Cisco ASA 5520 running ASA Software Version 8.2 (1).

I just noticed that some static routes have "A-" when you view the static routes with ASDM e.g. A-172.24.0.0 or A-192.168.176.0 (pls see attached print screen). I haven't seen this before and dont know what it means. Would appreciate your help.

Thanks a million in advance.

Hey ,

below are the Route command output flags :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/command/reference/s4.html#wp1496060

i'm not sure what do you mean by the A here , can you please attach a snapshot ?

thanks .

Mohammad.

Hi Mohammad,

Thanks for your reply.

I attached a printscreen of the ASDM page showing the routes with an "A-" preceding them.

It shows under Device Setup>Routing>Static Routes.

Interface          IP Address          Subnet Mask      Gateway IP     Metric/Distance     Options

Inside               10.0.0.0               255.0.0.0          10.1.8.1               1

Inside               A-172.24.0.0       255.255.0.0        10.1.8.1               1

The first is normal. The second has "A-" which i'm not familiar with.

Thanks,
