Some users are getting a blank web page in their IE or Safari browser. the page says it's done loading but there is nothing there. the same page in firefox works fine. we tested the site outside of our network and the pages load fine. it only happens inside our network while using IE or Safari. we use ASA 5510 firewalls. i'm not even sure if this is a network issue or a coding issue. any help would be greatly appreciate.
thanks

Stevel, I would start looking into doing some capturing beween host using IE and outside http link to rule out that you do not have MSS issue.
did the problem suddenly began or IE and Safari users were able to browse before.
Does the problem occurs to any http site or just some?
In any case, have a look at this link for MSS, at least conduct some captures to see what is going on and start to narrowing down the causes.

it only occurs on certain sites. even stranger is firefox works fine. at first i thought it was a coding issue (and still may be) but i wasn't sure if the firewall would be doing some inspection and IE didn't konw how to handle it and firefox did....i'll read over the link you sent....
thanks

Also load your ASDM and look at realtime syslog messages while the IE and Safari users try connecting to a website, if you have MSS issue it should show in the syslog messages.
Let us know what comes up as result.

i ended up opening a ticket with cisco....
we have a url filter in place for websense...
and it was blocking long url's so we added the following and it took care of the problem:
url-block url-mempool 10000
url-block url-size 4
url-block block 128
