capture on firewall

Does using capture on firewall cause disruption to traffic flow , similar to what is expected/possible by debug.

Would it be advisable to run capture with all traffic flowing across.

You should use a restrictive ACL to limit that issue. The resource utilization is determined by the amount of traffic hitting the capture ACL.
