client outlook unable to connect on 465 smtps port on exchange 2010

hi,

from internet client usint outlook is unable to connect on 465 port . i opened port on firewall over a public ip on outside interface. does any body have idea to fix this issue.

Wats the software version your are using on the firewall and can you share the configuration???

i am using 7.0

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 7.0(7)
Device Manager Version 5.0(7)

Compiled on Fri 06-Jul-07 10:37 by builders

Hardware:   ASA5520, 512 MB RAM, CPU Pentium 4 Celeron 2000 MHz

access-list 100 extended permit tcp any host x.x.x.x eq 465
access-list 100 extended permit tcp any host x.x.x.x eq smtp

Hi Rajat,

The config look all good to me, try taking the captures, you can follow this doc for it:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-17814

This would tell you which side is not responding and if the ASA is forwarding all  the packets.

this is the issue with the port please check on port 465 need to enable command fixup protocol ? but i am not able to find impact of this command on firewall and other services running behind firewall
