Is it possible to backup the configuration on the ASA 5520 using snmpcommunity string from an internal device or is this not a good practice?

Hi Thomas
Best practise is tftp
copy running-config tftp://tftpserverip/config.cfg
Here is the article

The best practice is to use RANCID, ssh into
your asa device and backup the configuration
that way. That is the safest, bar none.
RANCID is the tool that provide automation
just for this kind of jobs.
The problem with tftp is that your information
is traversing the network in clear text,
not encrypted.
Anyone who work in security should know
better than sending important information
in clear text.
