DHCP option 33, 121 and/or 249 on Cisco ASA

Anyone know the syntax for specifying a network rather than a host for any one of the above DHCP options on a Cisco ASA? I need to specify a specific network route and with any of these options it is only providing a host route. Is this a limation of ASDM, and something that needs to be done via the command line?  ASA is a 5520 with version is 8.3(1) and ASDM version is 6.3(1).

Thanks,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Unfortunately this is not possible yet. The ASA only supports the options listed in RFC 2132 (see http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa83/command/reference/d2.html#wp1994962). Although this includes option 33, this is only used for host-based routes.

Ultimately, you'd need a DHCP server that supports option 121 for classless static routes, which is definied in RFC 3442. You might get in touch with your Cisco account team to discuss a feature request for RFC 3442 support, but unfortunately this isn't possible yet.

Hope that helps.
