Does a Cisco ASA 5525-X 9.1(2) support a URL as a destination or Source

I was wondering if the Cisco ASA 5525-X 9.1(2) supports a URL as a destination or source, we ran into an issue where a domain name IP changed and it took down a critical application. As of right now I have two of the IPs in the ACL that are owned by a SaaS provider.

Yes it does if you are using

Yes it does if you are using object groups.  So you could do something like the following:

object network TEST-GROUP
 fqdn www.cisco.com

access-list TEST extended permit ip any object TEST-GROUP

access-group TEST in interface inside

When using an FQDN in an

When using an FQDN in an object-group remember that you also need to enable a DNS server in the ASA.

It is often not done since the DNS lookups may affect system performance.
