Since in pix 6.x you cannot backup the code to tftp you may download the actual code from cisco pix/asa download file area, of course that is if you have access to download area. You can then save the actual code that is currently running in your PIX to your tftp server.
You may also consider down the road upgrade the firewall code to 6.3.5 and save the code in safe place, or upgrade to 7.x if you have PIX515 or above model.
