eigrp through asa

hi

According to cisco document  "IPv4 multicast MAC addresses from 0100.5E00.0000 to 0100.5EFE.FFFF"     are allowed . eigrp multicast address is 224.0.0.10 . for this mac address will  be in previous mac address's. so why we  have to open manualyl access-list for eigrp multicast from

inside to outside and outside to inside ?????  same case happen for rip v2  .

regards

Ankush

Re: eigrp through asa

Multicast should be allowed through if you are running the ASA as transparent firewall. Not when ASA is in routed mode.
