I want to configure the following route on my ASA 5512, but it doesn't work. The same route i configured it on my ASA 5510 and it works:

This the route: "route inside 10.0.0.229 255.0.0.255 10.4.0.252"

The message error:  ERROR: Invalid Mask configured 255.0.0.255, cannot add route

I really need this route to work on the ASA 5512 like it did on the ASA 5510 because i have 460 remote sites, and i cannot add 460 route.

I need your help

The mask you have specified doesn't make sense.

A subnet mask is supposed to separate the network address (leftmost bits) from the host addresses (rightmost bits). It should always translate to a binary number that masks the leftmost bits with binary ones (i.e. 1111...) and the rightmost bits with binary zeros (i.e. ...0000). Your specified mask translates in binary to:

11111111.00000000.00000000.11111111
