Failover config on a PIX 525 7.2(1)

Hello,

I have 2 PIX 525 running version 7.2(1). I have it setup a serial cable failover. The problem is when I run a show fail command it list that the outside interface is up and running and failover is working fine. but on the other 2 interfaces, inside and DMZ next to the ip address it shows "(waiting)" . I have check the switch ports that these 2 itnerfaces are plugged into and there are all set to auto, they all match. What else can I check?

Make sure they have layer two connectivity.

Such as inside interface on both PIX should have a layer 2 connectivity. DMZ interface on both PIX should have a layer 2 connectivity.

1. port on switch and PIX should be in up/up state.

2. make sure the ports on switch are assigned to the right vlan.
