Failover License restriction on ASA

Hi Guys,

I believe in PIX series, in a Failover Pair using (UR-FO) license combination, if PIX with UR license fails - The PIX with FO license takes over, But now if this PIX with FO license reboots (for amy reason) then it is treated as a Standalone Unit (with FO license)and is rebooted automatically every 24 Hrs.

I have purchased two Security Plus licenses for my two ASA-5510 units to be used in Active-Standby failover, Do i face any similar restriction on ASA series ????

Thanks,

Sanjeev

In the ASA series devices there is no longer a UR-FO license option. You must purchase the two Security Plus licenses as you have done. You should not have any issues with the rebooting on the failover unit.

Yea your all set with the purchase of two plus lic's. Why not active / active configuration though?

Only available when using multiple contexts.
