Firewall Active/Standby connection to Dual Core Inside network

Hi,

I have dual core L3 Switches (4503-E) in LAN. I want to connected this Core network as Inside to Active/Failover setup. Then to connect Firewall cluster to internet through a 2821 router

Can anyboby elaborate what is the best way to achieve this. I want to do NAT in firewalls. I have only 6 public IP addresses for LAN segent.I want to eliminate single point of failure for connection from dual core to firewall cluster

regards,

Waruna

Re: Firewall Active/Standby connection to Dual Core Inside netwo

You need inter chassis active/standby failover.

You can do HSRP on the inside and outside vlans on the MSFC.

Pls. read here:
