Dear all,
Whenever there is a high data throughput on the firewall the 'outside' port shuts, stopping all internet traffic and VPN connections. due to this we are experiencing loss in internet connectivity and effecting users running web based applications.
Hardware ASA5505,IOS ver 8.0
If anyone can provide a little push in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

Hi Zak,
More info required please:
1.High data throughput on any interface or just outside?
2.What ASA log entries do you see when this happens?
3.What state does the port go in to exactly?
4.What is CPU usage like at the time just before the port 'shuts'?

sorry for delay....
after your brief questionaries, we troubleshoot and believe it to be a hardware problem, isn't a configuration. so we are communicating with cisco.

I have the same problem. I have tried to change the device (I have two identical devices) but the problem persist.
Have you solved with hardware change?
