FWSM and ASA,

Hello Dear's,

How i can tune my security devices,FWSM & ASA, what additional configuration i have to do,uptil now what i have configured is

Configured:


Failover,static Natting,PAT,Access-list, Telnet and ssh access to specific subnet,configure AAA for user authentication,

what else i can do for health check for Security devices.

Re: FWSM and ASA,

well there are lot of things you can do, depends on what you want

for security of your network

you can configure threat detection, url filtering you can use an IPS

you can use inspection features for layer 7 applications so that you dont have to explicitly allow them is acl

here is the configuration guide and this will give you an idea as to what all features you can implent on your firewall
