Re: help --- ASA Can not boot ●●●

Hi,

This is a hardware failure. The solution is to replace the device.

Check the details in this bug: CSCud89974

Symptom:

During a power-cycle event of the ASA 5505, a message similar to the following

will be displayed in the boot log.

i2c_read_word_w_wait() error, slot = 0x0, device = 0x64, address = 134 byte

count = 2. Reason: I2C_UNPOPULATED_ERROR

The unit becomes non-recoverable/DOA and needs to be RMA'd. The issue seen only

during power-cycle event.

Conditions:

Cisco ASA5505 which has been power-cycled.

Workaround:

None

Hope this answers your query.
