Help on ASA5510

Hi

I have a ASA5510 and have some questions as below

I am thinking to configure 1 ASA5510 in active/passive mode on the same device by creating multiple contexts on it. Is this possible if I have security plus license on it? Can one ASA5510 be configured in Active/passive mode?

I would like to configure DMZ interface and create a link to a remote location on the same ASA unit.

Can you help me with some configuration example on both the questions above?

Thanks

Re: Help on ASA5510

You need 2 identical ASA's to do failover. You can't failover between 2 contexts on the same ASA.

DMZ setup is the same as configuring inside our outside. Just set the security level higher than outside but lower then inside. Link below should help.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa72/getting_started/asa5500/quick/guide/dmz_b.html.

Thanks,

Chad
