Hello all, how does one find what type of a Gigabit Ethernet interface is installed on a PIX 515?

I need to find out if it is a 1000BASE-T or a 1000BASE-SX type of an interface.

What command would I use?

Thank you very much.

Dmitry.

do a "sh interface" and look at the chipset..then google it..that's what I'd do.

PIX-515 comes with 100Mbps FE interfaces. This model does not support 1Gbps cards.

Regards,

Vibhor.

I applogize, I meant PIX 525, and the same question in regards to PIX 535.

1000base-t is copper, 1000base-sx is fiber.

515 doesn't support gig.

I am sorry I meant 525 and 535.

Is there a way to find out if an interface is 1000base-t or 1000base-sx, without physically looking at the router?

do a "sh interface" and look at the chipset..then google it..that's what I'd do.

Thank you! That worked.
