I am trying to change IP address of the inside intreface and here is the message that I am receiving. I tried changing the DHCP pool first without success.
BOSS(config)# ip address inside 192.168.3.1 255.255.255.0
Interface address is not on same subnet as DHCP pool
BOSS(config)# dhcpd address 192.168.3.2-192.168.3.100 inside
Address range subnet is not the same as inside interface

i ran into this before also. the Pix would not let me do this because the interface was up. Once I shut it down, I removed both inside and outside IP address configs and put them back in. Good luck.

Remove the pool the change the IP. Re-add the Pool.
Hope this helps!

I got around it by clearing the DHCP pool first and entering new inside IP.
clear dhcpd
Thanks!

disable the DHCP
remove the DHCP pool
change the inside IP address
recreate the DHCP pool
reenable the DHCP
write to mem
then reload
this is the only way that I was able to change the inside IP address while it was running and the DHCP was enabled. Works every time
