Linksys Router coupled to an ASA5510

We utilize an ASA5510 as our firewall and VPN. Previously we had just one ISP and plugged it directly into the ASA. We now have 2 broadband ISP's with static addresses and since the ASA5510 isn't capable of doing both failover and load balancing we purchased a Linksys RV016 router to perform these functions. My question is should I be running the Linksys router in Gateway or Router mode? I have it in Gateway mode and it does work but sometimes it does "flakey" things. Just looking for reassurance I have it setup correctly. Thanks for any help!
