Management-Access bug?

Hi Guys,

My 5510 is running Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.0(4) .

I have setup some VPN's on this firewall and have been able to access the firewall for management via the VPN using the management-access command

ie. management-access inside

however I had to change the inside interface over to another interface and when I dropped the interface name

no nameif inside,

the firewall drops all references to 'inside'

asa01(config)# show run management-access

management-access

this command should be followed by an interface in the config. So something like

management-access inside

I can’t remove the command either if I do a

no management-access  it just says incomplete command

I need to add the  “management –access inside” command. But when I do I get the following;

asa01(config)# management-access inside

Please remove the management access before configure a new one

can somebody please help me with this problem and a way around it?

thanks.

Re: Management-Access bug?

Yes, seems to be matching bugID: CSCsu89235:

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsu89235

Workaround:

clear configure management-access

Then, reconfigure "management-access inside"

Hope that helps.
