Hello,
How are people setting up the management port's IP on the ASA5510?? It won't allow it to be on the same subnet as the other ports. Our network uses 192.168.1/0 and a subnet of 255.255.254.0. Are people just adding the management ports subnet as an additional subnet on the NIC or is there a way to actually place the management port in the same subnet. The reason I ask is that we would like to be able to manage the ASA from any computer without having to add the extra subnet on the NIC.
Thanks,
Dylan Etscorn

You don't have to use the management port. You can SSH to the 'inside' interface IP.
HTH and please rate.

Thanks for the response. I did know that this could be done, but I was looking to use ASDM for management.
Thanks,
Dylan

Then you'll have to create a new VLAN and add the management interface to the VLAN.
